Apologia Who am I ?~ TOS Review

Photobucket

I was recently given the opportunity to review the Worldview Curriculum by Apologia Press . It's called What We Believe.

This current curriculm has 4 Volumes.

Volume 1: Who is God? And Can I Really Know Him?
Volume 2 : Who am I? And What Am I Doing Here?
Volume 3 : Who Is My Neighbor?
Volume 4: What On Earth Can I Do?

Each volume has a mp3 CD, also available for purchase to go along with each volume is journal notebook, coloring book.

So are you thinking why do I need a Worldview curriculum? I read the Bible with my kids.
You need a worldview curriculum to lay the proper foundations for your kids to defend their faith. For you and your child to understand what you believe. Christianity is not a blind faith it's built on truth.
Sometimes that can be difficult to explain if you don't fully understand the foundations of what you believe.

Who Am I? Volume 2 in the series is designed for the family to engage with each other while developing a biblical self image and a sense if God-given purpose. In the introduction called "How To Use This Book"  walks you through the plans you can implement
The Student notebook is  recommended and fully complements each lesson. The notebook is  spiral bound and perfect for ages 6-14. Lesson pages include "Hide it in your heart" here you write and memorize the scripture verse you are focusing on for each section, Words you need to know,  Discussion questions for each topic, and "What should I do?" helps you walk through situations with your child and gets them thinking.  Each lesson includes a notebooking page for each topic discussed. A typical lesson is suggested in the book to take 3 weeks with 2 topics each week for this volume.
A mp3 CD is also included to walk you through lessons not as a supplement to reading the book.

I found this curriculum easy to use! I have 4 children under 8 and found the lessons easy to understand and enjoyed the different stories they told throughout the book. *Spoiler Alert* The first lesson talks about Superman and has full color pictures for those comic book fans. :-D Each lesson in the book grabs my children's attention.  I found it helpful as well that I had a coloring book for the younger ones to use that included a picture from the main story to keep them busy while I read.

Volume 2 hardback over 250 pages- $39.00
Audio CD - $19.00
Note booking Journal - $24.00
Coloring Book - $8.00

I throughly enjoyed using this series and will continue to keep these products from Apologia in my home library.
Apologia is wonderful when it comes to customer service. They are serious when they say "Contact Us if you have any questions" about their products! Apologia staff goes out of their way to give customers all and any information they need to help!!

Apologia also has  unique Retreat Conference's for homeschool Moms! They have wonderful speakers lined up for the last two conferences such as Pam Tebow and Hedi St. John.  To check out these conferences click on over to their website

*I was given this curriculum for free in exchange for my honest review.*
